Antique Stock Tickers Stock Ticker Census
Stock specialists began appearing on the New York Stock Exchange floor in 1872. They pegged their transaction records to the fronts and backs of the new trading posts to show the current market price and the day's activity. In 1926 the specialists began recording their transactions in small binders, called specialist books.
The 6-ring binders measured about 6" x 12"
They had pages with printed columns and fraction-priced rows.
